In 2000, Kathie Kececi began a small modern dance company comprised of 8 dancers performing at a few local venues. Today, after 15 years of growth, the company has expanded and performs in NYC, NJ, PA, CT, Washington DC and, recently, London.
Top choreographers such as Claire Porter and Randy James have set pieces on the company that have been performed at venues such as The Rebound Festival in New Haven, CT and Joyce Soho in NYC.
In 2012, In MotionII was created to give younger girls the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of their older mentors. They will have the opportunity to perform at the Manhattan Movement & Arts Center, Lincoln Center, and the Metrowest Dance Festival, as well as performing alongside In Motion at the Bickford Theatre in Morristown, NJ.
The experiences that young dancers have with these two companies have helped them grow in their self esteem and confidence while developing their talent.
